With over 50 years in the lawnmower trade we have a service second to none, and aim to offer superb aftersales care. Making Purchases

Shopping is very easy with The Lawnmower Company Direct. Search for an item if you know what you require, or browse our extensive catalogue. Add any items to your cart which can be viewed at any time by selecting the 'View Cart' option. If you're not happy you can remove a product, change the quantity or even add more products. When ready select 'Checkout' and follow the on-screen instructions to make a payment.

We accept Visa, Mastercard  as well as debit cards including Solo, Delta, Switch and Maestro. Please note, we do not accept American Express .

Please be aware that products may vary slightly from their pictures. If not entirely satisfied upon arrival please see our Returns Policy below. Product information and specifications listed are quoted as given by manufacturer.

Shipping And Handling

Delivery to any address on the UK Mainland is free except for parts of the Scottish Highlands, Islands Channel Islands and Northern Ireland, a quote will be given upon receipt of your order for shipping to these areas. Please note, we do not deliver to Southern Ireland or ship abroad.

We offer a special service with our ride on mowers and lawn tractors. They will be filled with petrol and oil, fully set up and delivered ready to basically ride off the van, with a full demonstration. We offer this service free to you. We find that these mowers can be difficult to set up and many customers find this service excellent. Many other online stores do not offer this service. Please note, this service does not include our quad bike range.

Delivery

We begin processing orders at 8.30am every morning. You wil receive a confirmation email when you place your order, and also when we process your details and ship your order. In most circumstances all items will be delivered the next working day, but please allow up to 3 working days for delivery. For the ride on mower and lawn tractor set-up service, please allow 4 - 5 working days. 

Back Orders

If any part of your order is not in stock, we will telephone or email you to discuss your options. Cancelling your order, waiting [normally 7 - 10 working days] or discussing an alternative with our specialist staff will all be offered.

Tax

All prices are inclusive of VAT [17.5 % Value Added Tax]

Credit Card Security

All orders are processed over a secure Internet connection and all billing details are deleted from all systems after processing your order, so your peace of mind can be assured.

All credit card transactions are handled on a secure server using 128-bit encryption.

Guarantee

To guarantee your satisfaction we only supply the best machinery from the most established manufacturers in the industry. All products are covered by the manufacturers warranty, 1 year unless otherwise stated. If a problem arises with any of your products within this timeframe the manufacturer will be happy to examine your product for you. If they believe the problem to be due to misuse or neglect of the product rather than a manufacturing fault, they are likely to refuse to carry out repairs free of charge. If this is the case, the customer or their agent will not hold The Lawnmower Company Direct responsible as the warranty is held with the manufacturer. The shipping to and from the manufacturer may be the customers responsibility, this differs from manufacturer. We will provide you with any manufacturers Service Hotline numbers should you require them. The terms and conditions under which we supply goods to you do not in any way affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Returns Policy

In accordance with existing UK Distance Selling Regulations, any product, excluding pre-assembled items such as tractors, may be returned unused in its original packing within 7 days of delivery for whatever reason. The cost of delivery is however the liability of the customer unless the item is defective or received in error.

WEEE Regulations                                                                                                                                                                 

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment [WEEE] Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.

The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK.

• Much of the UK's WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health.

• Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps tosave our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill.

Distributors of new Electric and Electronic Equipment [EEE] have a part to play in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites.

The Lawnmower Company Direct is obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us.

For example, if a customer bought a new electric lawn mower from us we would accept their old electric lawn mower and prevent ig going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely. Customers must return their WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item.

Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Goods are marked with this symbol to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.
